What to do in Brussels.

My first tour, Insight's CR of Belgium, Luxembourg & the Netherlands, starts in Brussels on the 27th August and I'm arriving there, the evening of the 26th.  
As the first day of a tour is usually an arrival day, I'll have most of the 27th to explore, up until about 5pm.

I have been doing some research and have mapped out what I'm hoping to do on Saturday before meeting the TD and the rest of the tour people at the Welcome Reception and Dinner.  I have already been told that the Tour Director will be Sharon Tooman. I read a tour review a while back and Sharon was the TD on that tour and the reviewer was full of praise for her.

Brussels holds a bi-annual flower carpet display on the Grand Place. It starts on the 12th August this year and finishes on the 15th, so I won't be seeing it in person
